The Blackfoot Police Department is comprised of several divisions, each with their own specialty and function.

Patrol
This is the largest division in the organization, and includes the following:
- Uniformed Patrol
- Park Patrol
- Bike Patrol
- School Resource Officers
- Animal Control
- Minimum Maintenance / Code Compliance
Detectives
The Blackfoot Police Department has four full-time Detectives on staff who work jointly with the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division. This joint Division investigates felony crimes against persons, crimes against children, crimes involving narcotics, fraud and homicide.
